About this position

AGV Group Malta is looking for an Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day running of one of our operating divisions. Working closely with the Manager, you will help coordinate teams, oversee daily schedules, and keep service delivery running smoothly across our sites. It is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with people and takes ownership of getting things done.

Job description

Reporting to the Divisional Manager, you will act as the main point of contact for the team in the Manager’s absence, helping to plan workloads, monitor performance, and resolve issues as they arise. You will work across departments to make sure resources, staff, and equipment are in the right place at the right time, while maintaining the standards our clients expect.

Role & Responsibilities

The role combines team supervision with practical operational coordination. You will be involved in daily planning, quality checks, and reporting, and will help develop the team through training and support.

• Supervise and support the daily activities of the operational team
• Coordinate staff rosters, workloads, and resource allocation
• Monitor service quality and address issues promptly
• Prepare operational reports and assist with performance reviews

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Confident communicator in English and preferably Maltese
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reporting tools
• A proactive, hands-on approach to daily operations
• Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
• Willingness to work flexible hours where operations require
• Commitment to health, safety, and compliance standards
• Valid driving licence and eligibility to work in Malta
