About this position

AGV Group Malta is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support our construction and infrastructure projects. You will be involved in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems across a varied portfolio of sites, working alongside project managers, contractors, and technical teams to deliver work safely and to specification.

Job description

You will take responsibility for the electrical elements of assigned projects, from reviewing drawings and specifications through to on-site supervision and final commissioning. The role involves regular site visits, liaison with suppliers and subcontractors, and ensuring that all installations comply with Maltese and EU electrical standards.

Role & Responsibilities

This is a varied technical role covering both project delivery and ongoing maintenance. You will provide engineering input at every stage and help ensure that our electrical infrastructure remains safe, efficient, and compliant.

• Design, review, and approve electrical layouts and specifications
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning on site
• Ensure compliance with electrical regulations and safety standards
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders

What we’re looking for

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience with electrical installations in construction or industrial settings
• Working knowledge of Maltese and EU electrical regulations
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software
• Strong attention to detail and technical problem-solving ability
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Good communication skills in English
• Warrant or eligibility to obtain one is considered an asset
• Commitment to health and safety on every site
• Valid driving licence and eligibility to work in Malta
