About this position

AGV Group Malta is looking for an HR Manager to lead the people function across our group. With teams working in recruitment, logistics, hospitality, environmental services, construction, and more, this is a role with real breadth and the chance to shape how we attract, support, and develop our people.

Job description

You will oversee the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to training, performance management, and employee relations. Working closely with senior management and divisional heads, you will make sure our HR practices are consistent, compliant with Maltese employment law, and aligned with how the group is growing.

Role & Responsibilities

The role combines hands-on HR delivery with strategic input. You will manage HR processes, advise managers, and help build a workplace where people want to stay and progress.

• Manage recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning across the group
• Advise managers on employee relations, performance, and disciplinary matters
• Ensure compliance with Maltese employment legislation and internal policies
• Develop training, development, and retention initiatives

What we’re looking for

• Degree in Human Resources, Management, or a related field
• Proven experience in an HR management or senior HR role
• Strong working knowledge of Maltese employment law
• Experience managing recruitment across multiple departments
• Confident advising and influencing at management level
• Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
• Discretion when handling sensitive and confidential matters
• Well organised, with strong record-keeping and reporting habits
• Fluent English; Maltese is a strong asset
• Eligibility to work in Malta
