About this position

AGV Group Malta is looking for a Maintenance Technician to keep our facilities, vehicles, and equipment running reliably. Our operations span multiple sectors and sites across Malta, so this is a varied role for someone practical who enjoys solving problems and working with their hands.

Job description

You will carry out planned preventive maintenance as well as reactive repairs across our properties and plant. Working as part of the maintenance team, you will diagnose faults, complete repairs safely, and keep accurate records of the work carried out. The role involves travel between sites and occasional call-outs.

Role & Responsibilities

Day to day you will handle a mix of mechanical, electrical, and general building maintenance tasks, escalating specialist work where needed and always working to our safety standards.

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing faults
• Log completed work and report recurring issues to the supervisor
• Support installations, refurbishments, and site improvements

What we’re looking for

• Trade qualification or relevant technical training
• Hands-on maintenance experience in a facilities or industrial setting
• Practical knowledge of mechanical and basic electrical systems
• Ability to work independently and prioritise call-outs
• Good understanding of health and safety practices
• Comfortable using hand and power tools safely
• Reliable, punctual, and methodical approach to work
• Willingness to travel between sites across Malta
• Flexibility to respond to occasional out-of-hours call-outs
• Valid driving licence and eligibility to work in Malta
